Winner of the Gold 2020 PRISM Award for Universal Design by the Builders and Remodeler Association of Greater Boston, The Cove is an inclusive two-building residential development overlooking a 484-acre nature reserve on Massachusetts South Shore.
The Solution
Combining Post-Tensioned Concrete podiums over ground-level parking allows for maximum flexibility in the use of the site as well as elevated courtyard amenities to take in the amazing views available to residents. Light frame wood construction above the podium allows for a cost-effective, flexible unit layout that maximizes the footprint and minimizes material use and cost.
