We’re structural engineers dedicated to multi-unit structures.
Multi-unit construction often feels defined by what can’t be done. Our structural engineering process focuses on what’s possible so we can support your vision for the project.

Question: As the structural engineer, what do you view as your most important role within the design team?
Most important is obviously to provide a safe building for the public it will serve, with close second being to provide the most cost effective structure in full compliance with code requirements designed and detailed in such a manner to ease constructability.

Question: As the structural engineer, what do you view as your most important role within the design team?
To communicate our safe engineering design in a simple and effective way during all phases of design. This makes coordination easier during design and leads to a smoother construction phase.

Question: What is one thing you would love for developers to understand about structural design?
For any building or structure that is being built, tolerances are what makes the design of any structure feasible and easy to build for the contractor. Some building components obviously have less tolerance and others more. The easier to build, means fast track and on time and money in the owners pocket sooner. Quality control provides a smooth transition from the design phase to completion and is paramount to the success of any project.

Question: What is one thing you would love for developers to understand about structural design?
I appreciate how everyone at Veitas sincerely cares – both about designing a safe, structurally sound building and about fostering good relationships both within and outside of the firm. The combined skills and knowledge of the people at Veitas promote creativity in our designs and contribute to a collaborative, educational office environment.
Buildings are more than projects to complete. They transform the community around them. They provide the context and background for the story of the people who live and work there. As structural engineers, we get to be a part of those stories.
And like any great story, each building deserves its own unique, epic identity and style. That’s why we do everything it takes to support the vision for your project. Excellence in engineering is a baseline. Let’s rise above it to work as a team in a process which leaves everyone proud of what's been built and eager to do it again.
